【Lecture Summary】 The insulation materials for motors used in electric vehicles are subjected to harsh environments, making concerns about insulation breakdown and degradation unavoidable. In this seminar, after discussing the fundamental properties of polymer insulators (dielectrics), we will focus on the insulation characteristics of polymers, particularly the mechanisms of insulation breakdown and degradation, as well as the measurement and countermeasures (prevention methods) related to insulation properties. 【Lecture Summary】 This presentation will introduce insulation technology around motors using polyimide film "Kapton," which has the highest level of heat resistance among all resins. 【Lecture Summary】 This seminar focuses on electrical insulation technology for motors driven by power supplies of 600V or less, particularly for inverter-driven motors used in vehicles. These motors are exposed to harsh environments due to increased temperatures for miniaturization and the method of directly applying moisture-containing transmission lubricants to the heating parts for improved cooling performance. The seminar instructor, with 40 years of motor design experience, will explain insulation technology that provides easy-to-manufacture and highly reliable motors, using examples to illustrate the fundamentals of insulation and manufacturing issues.
